KOMEE is presently involved in the construction of the Fiber Optic Cable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia facilities, a US$1 billion project awarded by ITC(Integrated Telecom Company).

KOMEE and ITC completed the construction agreement in January 11, 2011 and construction began in April 2011. To further ensure success of this project, ITC, KOMEE and SAFA signed a three-party investment agreement in August 2011.

The Fiber Optic Cable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia project aims to apply Korea`s advanced IT technological know-how for advancing the Kingdom`s IT industry. Phase I will see the installation of the Kingdom`s fiber optics network and metro, Phase 2 will install fixed land line network, and Phase 3 will see the construction of undersea fiber optic lines linking the Kingdom with Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Oman, and UAE.
